Hello! I’m Filipino-American, born, raised and residing in Los Angeles. I come from a large family where it NEVER gets boring and my immediate family makes up the bedrock of my existence—they are truly the one’s who can make or break me.
I live with the greatest guy, Mik3, who is awesome because as much it surprised many, we’re very much alike and he makes me laugh—a lot. He truly amazes me and is also a great writer. Here’s an artists’ rendition of Mike and I:
I love food—to cook it, eat it, and lately bake it. It’s really a pastime.
I’m a wino because hard liquor gives me heartburn.
I love to write. It’s therapeutic for me, hence this blog. I’m a total right-brain, so any outlet for me to be creative you’ll find me doing it. But I can be analytical, sometimes to a fault. How I manage that, I’m not sure.
I love sports. Hockey, football and baseball to be exact, but I’m the black sheep in the family because I don’t support LA teams. I’m a Ducks, Ravens/Vikings/Patriots, and Red Sox fan (yes, I adopted his Vikes and Sox). I’m discovering I really don’t like basketball, and my entire family bleeds Purple and Gold. EGAD! I refuse to get into details why.
I’m a great reader. I also have a weird fascination with 18th and 19th century England. I rediscovered Jane Austen, thanks to my local library. Use it; it’s recession friendly.
I love music. Played the flute for over 8 years and teaching myself piano, but I can’t get into today’s music—it makes me feel old because I’d rather listen to classic rock and my old school hip hop/r&b.
I don’t like change, but I know when to embrace it.
I’m a progressive liberal, but I don’t burn bras–that’s bad for the environment.
